How does PatientPortal.me work?

Patients can visit PatientPortal.me and locate a provider using the interactive online map. Once the provider is selected, patients can use information from their billing statement to make a payment online. This lets providers accept patient payments online, even when they do not have a company website. More than half of Americans pay their bills online. This represents over 14 billion payments per year-and that number is quickly growing. Online Bill Pay supports time and resource savings, increased patient payments and lower A/R days.

SIMPLE PAYMENT PAGE

What should facilities expect once they sign up for the Simple Payment Page?

It usually takes about 72 hours to create and activate a simple payment page. Providers sign up online with the provider signup form, and the implementation team begins construction of the patient payment page. The banking information is tied to the provider banking account and test deposits are sent to ensure that funds are transferring properly from the payment page to the provider banking account. Provider logos and design features can be added to create a branded and familiar patient experience. The page hyperlink is given to the provider so it can be added to the provider’s website.

PATIENT PORTAL

What benefit do providers see in offering a Patient Portal instead of just a Simple Payment Page?

The benefit of patient self-service has many rewards to the provider.

Reduced Patient Calls. Patients are able to view and pay bills, review payment history, and print previous payment receipts without ever involving Patient Financial Services or the billing office. Salucro also has the ability to integrate online patient statements.

Empower Patient Self-Sufficiency. Patients can access current balance and payment history online without waiting for office hours or provider responses. They can add users and manage other family members’ accounts, change their account settings, and communicate at their convenience. Live Chat is available to answer questions about use of the system or making a payment.

Provide Information and Updates. Providers can add PDF attachments and communicate using email notifications so patients can receive information in a timely manner.
